Community Organizing Workshop

The Center for Integrating Research & Action (CIRA) of UNC-Chapel Hill held a community organizing workshop in January, and we want to find how many people are interested in participating in another workshop (You do not need to have had participated in the first).

Contributions of CIRA to the Mission of UNC-Chapel Hill

Assisting interdisciplinary groups of faculty, undergraduate and graduate/professional students from the College of Arts & Science and Professional Schools to undertake engaged research with communities
Assisting community- and regionally-based organizations in areas consistent with UNC-CIRA mission
Facilitating collaborations among community-based organizations, UNC-CH, other campuses of UNC, and other agencies
Participating in action-research on themes that are identified jointly with community organizations
